Your Tangent Notebook includes a 3 or 4 year limited warranty.
The UD Value Notebook includes a 3 year limited warranty, while the UD Notebook, the lightweight, and UD Power Notebook include a 4 year limited warranty.

The following paragraphs are excerpts from our UD warranty. Be sure to check out the complete warranty document.

During the first year of the limited warranty, Tangent will repair any Tangent provided hardware products returned to us that prove to be defective in material or workmanship. If we are not able to repair the product, we will replace it with comparable product that is new or serviceably used.

For the remaining two or three years of the limited warranty, Tangent will replace any defective part with new or serviceably used parts, if we determine that it needs to be replaced.

As such, the limited warranty covers hardware defects arising under normal use but does not include malfunctions or failures resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, or alteration. These include: liquid spilled on or in your unit; drops, falls or other collisions; electrical surges; accidental breakage; theft; replacement of consumables (batteries).
